Just as an aside…

I really appreciate all the comments on the CAC and rdesktop articles. Thanks for adding so much new info, everyone. Sorry I am not as sharp on some of this as I would like to be, but between work and… not-work, I have little time to do much Linux-stuff at home.

I also have an old, outdated Linux AKO page – I don’t update it anymore. I’m just not a huge fan of AKO, and not too many Linux enthusiasts have popped up there. I tend to focus on one thing at a time, so me running lots of blogs and sites just ain’t happening.

Anyway, thanks again for all the useful comments and suggestions, and please, keep ’em coming.  If the comments get put in the moderated queue (looks like the ones with links end up there), it may take a couple days, but I’ll get to them.

Live CD Exercise…

I am currently playing around with various live CD distros (SLAX, DSL, DSL-N, Knoppix, etc.) and trying my hand at remastering a live CD.  I want to get one that ultimately opens three or four xsessions on boot (no login), and offers only an RDP client aimed at a terminal server.  Sort of a kiosk approach to running multiple Windows desktops on a single machine….

Theme Change Time…

Now using the Digg three-column theme – and weeded out some old stuff.  Me like a lot.
